Apple Blossom

I wandered around the Tomswood Hill allotments with my camera recently,  looking for some images for this web site.  It struck me that there was a lot of apple blossom this year.  Masses.  The apple trees are spectacular. This follows on from the plums and cherries, which did equally well earlier.Looking around more widely has given the same impression.

Hopefully, this is a good omen for a fruitful year this year. Does this mean that we will have bumper crops?  Well. Maybe. As ever, it will depend on the weather through the rest of the year.  Let’s hope this year is a good one for apples and everything else Naturally, this depends heavily on the wonderful British weather – where else can you get all 4 seasons in one day? Sometimes more that one at once.
